Steve's Birth Certificate and possibly his first home
Steve McQueen was born in Beech Grove, Indiana (a suburb of Indianapolis) to his parents Bill and Julian McQueen on March 24, 1930. Very little is known about the first few years of his life, but Beech Grove local Bill Bowman did some research and sent it in to McQueenOnline.
From Bill: He was born at St. Francis Hospital, in Beech Grove. I have seen a copy of the hand written delivery roster. Also from Bill: The 1931 Indianapolis City Directory lists an address of Julian McQueen as 1311 N. Drexel, Indianapolis. The house is located about 5 miles from Beech Grove.
