The photo shows Mario Andretti in the #19 Ferrari factory 512S and Steve McQueen in his #48 Porsche 908 as they both begin to brake for turn 11 at the end of the long airport straight that was part of the old 5.2 mile Sebring road course. While Andretti led for most of the race mechanical problems forced him to jump to the #21 Ferrari in order to finish first only 22 seconds ahead of the second place McQueen/Revson car.
