Late in his life, McQueen began collecting cars, motorcycles, toys, vintage aircraft, and other antique ephemera at a furious rate. Although Indian seemed to be his favorite among motorcycle brands, he also owned and raced a number of Triumphs, and had several vintage Harley Davidsons. This 1917 Harley was acquired by Dale Walksler at the 1984 McQueen estate auction in Las Vegas, and can now be seen at Walksler’s Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.
