This Cooper T-52 Formula Junior is the only open-wheel racecar McQueen owned or competed in. He won a few Sports Car Club of America events with it in 1962, before being told by the studios to hang up his helmet and gloves. He didn’t, of course, getting involved with off-road and motorcycle racing shortly thereafter. The whereabouts of this machine are unknown, as it is believed to have been completely destroyed in a garage fire some years ago. Look at the concentration in McQueen’s eyes.
