This is the iconic 911 that appears in the first few minutes of Le Mans, as McQueen’s character, Porsche racer Michael Delaney, drives it through the French countryside. It is a ’70 model, but very close to the ’69 that McQueen owned at the time (now belonging to Chad). After the movie, Solar Productions sold it to a lawyer in Los Angeles who kept it all but hidden from sight. It was sold to a new owner a few years back, who is now letting it out of the cage a bit more. The Le Mans 911 is in great condition, and drives beautifully. Photo by Matt Stone.
