This is the 1963 Ferrari 250 Lusso that sold for $2.3 Million in August, 2007. I came in contact with the car through its then owner, Mike Regalia, and journalist Tom Madigan, when we did an article about it for Motor Trend Classic magazine. It was at this photo shoot, while sitting and chatting with Chad, that the idea for McQueen’s Machines first struck me. This image shows Chad at the wheel of his father’s car for the first time, and I got a chance to drive it too, putting another notch in my “McQueen cars” gun belt. Photo by Evan Klein.
