Few are aware that McQueen had a Mini. And he chose a good one, this ’67 Mini Cooper S 1275,
one of the most desirable and, naturally, quickest of the original Mini Coopers. It was originally British
Racing Green, but McQueen liked to customize his cars a bit back then, if only to make them his own. The Mini
was repainted, the wheels chromed and reversed, a sunroof added, and the interior retrimmed in brown vinyl with
a wood dash. It now lives in Southern California, and is otherwise much as McQueen owned it.
