This ’58 Porsche Speedster is without doubt one of the most significant cars McQueen owned. The reasons are numerous. It was the first car he bought new. And it was the first machine in which he participated in organized motorsport, winning his first race at an SCCA meet in Santa Barbara, California in 1959. The Speedster is one of three cars that he bought, sold, and later repurchased. And finally, it is once again the property of the McQueen family, and likely will remain so.
