A 12 gauge Parker Brothers GH Grade double barrel boxlock shotgun Serial no. 57684, 12 gauge. 26 inch Damascus barrels with concave, matte rib inscribed Parker Bros. Makers. Meriden. Conn. Damascus Steel. Two ivory beads. Signed casehardened boxlock action engraved with borders, scrollwork panels and three panels scenes: left side, two flying mallards; right side, two cock pheasants; floorplate, two grouse. Double triggers. Checkered walnut splinter fore-end. Checkered pistolgrip stock of figured walnut. Red rubber buttpad with spacer. Also fitted with Powley Pad leatherette cheekpiece and russet leather hand protector. Condition: Excellent. Barrels retain 95-97 percent Damascus finish. Bores showing frosting and rings. Action with 85-90 percent casehardening with much vivid color. Sound wood showing scattered light marks and one deep dent to left side of upper tang. Buttpad perished.
