A Winchester late 1st Model 1873 Deluxe lever action rifle
Serial no. 28117 for 1879, .44 caliber. 24 inch round barrel with full magazine.
Blued finish. Single set trigger. Deluxe figured walnut stock and fore-end checkered in Style H.
Condition: Very good to fine. Barrel and tube retain generous traces, perhaps 10-15 percent,
of blue finish in protected areas. Action retains 70-75 percent blue mixed with brown patina and
showing patches of spotting/light pitting. Excellent stock has possibly been refinished and shows
a few light marks and small hairline crack at left toe of buttplate.
Sold for $20,000 plus Premium and tax.
